Weekend ago, Minardi Team came back to race .
We have raced the first weekend of Championship.
I flew to Buenos Aires on friday at night. On saturday I woke up at 8.30 am and then I went to Yacht Club Olivos with Leo (my brother). We arrived at 10.00 am and Nico was with the 29er ready to sail.
The day was very cold and windy. At 12.00 we started the first race.
We raced 3 regattas and its were very goods. The wind was shifty because the wind came from the city.
There are 15 29er racing in the championship and the level is good.
It was my first time such as crew in a 29er´s race and our first championship after 3 years. The main Teams are racing together since 2 years more less.
We have sailed very well but we need to improve our boat handling. We have had some good tacks and gybes and others bad, we have had a lot of mistakes!!!
We started great in the 3 races and always rounded the windward mark among the first but then we have been falling and losing some places.
In the overall we are in 10th place for the moment.
Next weekend go on the championship and we hope to improve our level!!!

El Finde pasado volvio a correr el Team Minardi.
Hemos corrido el primer finde del campeonato.
El viernes por la noche vole hacia Buenos Aires. El sabado a las 8:30 hs me levante y a las 10 llegue al Yacht Club Olivos con el Leo (mi hermano), Nico ya estaba con el barco listo para navegar.
El dia fue muy frio y ventoso. El viento estaba muy cambiante porque soplaba de la costa. A las 12 hs largamos la 1ra regata.
Corrimos 3 regatas y estuvieron muy copadas. Hay 15 29er corriendo y el nivel es muy bueno.
Esta fue mi primera regata como tripu en un 29er y nuestro primer campeonato despues de 3 años. La mayoria de las tripulaciones esta corriendo juntos desde hace 2 años por lo menos.
Navegamos bien pero tenemos que mejorar nuestras maniobras. Tuvimos buenas y malas viradas, lo mismo con las trasbuchadas. Tuvimos muchos errores!!!
Largamos bien en las 3 regatas y viramos los barloventos entre los primeros siempre pero despues ibamos perdiendo puestos.
Por el momento venimos 10 en la general.
El Campeonato sigue el proximo finde y esperamos mejorar!!!
