.................... I´m inGreenwinch, CT, United States for coaching Optis

and Laser at Indian Harbor Yacht Club during all summer.

I have arrived on 3rd of june, and I have been coaching some Laser´s sailors at ACC´s Sayville Yacht Club in Blue Point, N.Y on my first weekend here.

I´m going to be in Greenwich until september and we are going to be racing in the most important and biggest regattas around here, so I promise you more information during my stay in U.S .

Estoy en Estados Unidos en Greenwich, CT, entrenando Optimist y Laser en el Indian Harbor Yacht Club durante todo el verano.

Llegue el 3 de junio y el primer fin de semana fuimos a correr un campeonato de Laser en Blue Point al Sayville Yacht Club.

Voy a estar aca hasta septiembre y estaremos corriendo los campeonatos mas importantes deaqui, asi que les prometo mas informacion.

Optimist fue ROWING OTRA VEZ!!!!

The zonal was a big party in front of the parana city. The event started last saturday at 10 am when Marinas Puerto Santa Fe Club (C.M.P.S.F) arrived with ten optimist. Later were arriving Yacht Club Santa Fe (Y.C.S.F), Club Nautico Sur Santa Fe (C.N.S) and Rowing´s sailors.

Everybody rigged and tunned their boats at the beach.

There were 63 Optimist registrated and 5 laser.

The day began sunny and warm without wind. The first race started at 14 pm with light wind from north. Then the wind raised and shifted to the west and we could race the second and third regatta.

All parents and members could see the regattas from the beach of the club.

When the races finished all sailors di-rigged, drank milk and ate cakes.

Finally was the awards with videos and nice music.

We want to thank everybody that helped us to organise the event.

El zonal fue una gran fiesta frente a Parana. El evento empezo el sabado a las 10 hs cuando el Marinas de Santa Fe arrivo con 10 optimist. Mas tarde llego el Yacht Club de Santa Fe, el Nautico Sur y los navegantes del Rowing. Todos los competidores armaron sus barcos en la playa del club.

Hubo 63 optimist inscriptos y 5 laser.

El dia comenzo soleado y calido pero sin viento. La primer regata se largo a las 14 hs con viento suave del sector norte. Luego el viento fue creciendo y rotando hacia el oeste y se corrieron dos regatas mas.

Todos los padres y socios pudieron seguir las regatas desde la playa. Cuando estas finalizaron todos los participantes desarmaron sus barcos, tomaron chocolate caliente y comieron tortas.

Finalmente fue la entrega de premios con videos y buena musica.

Queremos agradecer a todos aquellos que colaboraron para llevar a cabo este evento.

2nd edittion of Zonal Championship at P.R.C

On may 8 will be the Zonal Championship organized for Parana Rowing Club (P.R.C).

Opti´s, Laser and Windsurf will be sailing in front of Parana City. Races starts at 13.00 hs but P.R.C will be hosting in the beach these classes from 9.00 am .

It will be the second Zonal Championship during this year, the first was in Santa Fe weekends ago.

Sailors from Parana and Santa Fe will be representing their clubs.

People be able to see and enjoy the show from the waterfront during the afternoon.

El 8 de mayo sera el Campeonato Zonal organizado por el Parana Rowing Club (P.R.C), donde participaran las clases Optimist, Laser y Windsurf en frente a nuestra ciudad.

Las regatas comenzaran a las 13.00 hs pero las actividades comenzaran desde las 9.00 hs.

Esta sera la segunda fecha del Campeonato Zonal organizado este año, ya que el primero fue en la ciudad de Santa Fe hace un mes.

Participaran timoneles de Parana y Santa Fe representando a sus clubes.

Se podra ver y disfrutar del evento desde la costanera durante la tarde.

Happy New Year for everybody!!!

Every year I change the Blog and this is the new version of it and I hope it like you.

I want to show you the last Optimist´s video of the Parana Rowing Club by CARRANZAsails.

Parana Rowing Club is the most important Club of our city and today it has the best level opti sailors.

This year advanced sailors are going to race "Gran Prix del Litoral" and the main Optimist Championship in Argentina.

Tambien quiero compartir con ustedes el ultimo video de la escuela de Optimist del Parana Rowing Club hecho por CARRANZAsails.

El P.R.C es el club mas importante de nuestra ciudad y hoy cuenta con el mejor nivel de optimist de la zona.

Este año los timoneles estaran participando en todas las fechas del "Gran Prix del Litoral" y en los Campeonatos mas importantes de nuestro pais.

The First Opticlinic by CARRANZAsails

The 5th and 6th of the dicember was the first Opticlinic by Leo and me in Marinas Puerto Santa Fe Club. There were five sailors from Parana Rowing Club, Club Nautico Parana, Club Nautico Sur, and Yacht Club Santa Fe.

El 5 y 6 de diciembre fue la primera Clinica de optimist organizada por Leo y yo en el Club Marinas Puerto Santa Fe.

Participaron cinco chicos del Parana Rowing Club, Club Nautico Parana, Club Nautico Sur, and Yacht Club Santa Fe.

The Clinic started on Saturday at 10:00 am, while every sailors rigged their boats Leo and German Schule (assistant) put up the sponsor´s stickers in all boats and I was in charge of organize the boats support. When every sailors finished to rig we gave a speech about how to rig a sail and boat handling, etc. Then we went out to the lake where we had to wait an hour for the wind but more late we sailed with 8-12 knots during the afternoon.

La clinica empezo a las 10:00 hs del Sabado. Mientras los chicos armaban sus barcos Leo y German Schule (ayudante) pegaban las calcos de los sponsor en los barcos y yo me encargue de tirar los gomones al agua.

Cuando cada uno de los chicos termino de armar su barco hicimos una charla acerca del armado de la vela, maniobras, etc.

Luego salimos al agua y fuimos para la laguna donde tuvimos que esperar el viento durante una hora pero mas tarde este levanto y pudimos navegar con 8 a 12 nudos.

On Sunday we trained many hours with 10-15 knots from the south and waves. We did some excersises, races and games. They learnt a lot of things like handling boat, speed boats, tactics, techniques, etc.

El domingo entrenamos con mas viento (10 a 15 nudos) del sector sur con olas durante algunas horas. Pudimos hacer varios ejercicios, regatas y juegos. Ellos aprendieron un monton de cosas como maniobras, velocidad del barco, tacticas, tecnicas, etc.

We think that it was very fun, and we contributed our knowledges and experiences. We want to thanks to the sponsors ("LUCAT", "FRESCOR" and "LW LACTEOS"), Marinas Puerto Santa Fe Club, Asociacion de Vela Santafesina,German Schule, Marcelo Kuar and Tope Paladini for helped us to do it.

Opticlinic by CARRANZAsails

Next weekend we are going to do with Leo an Optimist Clinic in the Marinas Puerto Santa Fe Club. It will be for avanced sailors and beginner sailors that they are starting to race.

El proximo fin de semana estaremos dando una clinica de optimist en el Club Marinas Puerto Santa Fé.

Estará destinada a timoneles y a aquellos principiantes que se están iniciando en la parte competitiva.

The Best Optimist Zonal Championship!!!!

Last saturday was the Optimist Zonal Championship in Paraná Rowing Club.

There were sailor from Santa Fé(Club Marinas, Yacht Club and Nautico Sur) and Paraná. The racing area was in front of Paraná.

El sábado pasado se organizo el Campeonato Zonal en el Paraná Rowing Club. Estuvieron presentes optimistas de la ciudad de Santa Fé y Paraná.

The day was incredible, great wind and sun. While the guys were sailing many parents were enjoying the best beach of our city and the others were in some support boats looking the rergattas. When the sailors were di-rigging in the beach, mothers and grandmothers gave them many and differents of cakes and chocolates.

Fue un hermoso día, con excelente condiciones de viento y mucho sol. Mientras los chicos navegaban muchos de los padres aprovecharon para disfrutar de la mejor playa de nuestra ciudad y otros seguian las regatas desde las lanchas de apoyo. Luego cuando los chicos estaban desarmando sus optimist, madres y abuelas repartieron tortas y chocolate.

The Head Coach Ulises Carranza was in charge of advanced sailors group and Ivo Mele was together with the beginings sailors from our club.

Leo Carranza and I, were in charge of show pictures and videos´s day during the awards. The event finished with hot dogs, soda, "pollo al disco", beers for the parents,etc. The Race Committee was Eduardo "mono" Rico.

El entrenador Ulises Carranza estuvo a cargo del grupo de timoneles mientras que Ivo Mele estuvo junto a los de escuelita de nuestro Club.

Leo Carranza y yo estuvimos a cargo de la entrega de premios con videos, fotos y musica del día.

El oficial de Regata fue el gran "Mono" Rico.
